The MishMash Ensemble programme ran in 2023 and 2024 as a key element of our pathway for early career musicians. Participating musicians were identified from our training alumni and offered a professional opportunity to develop and tour a new production. The new production development is overseen by our experienced Creative Director, Sophie Rivlin and the subsequent tour produced and supported by the MishMash team.
In 2024 the MishMash Ensemble featured:
- Samantha Atkinson – Alto and Soprano Saxophones
- Paynor Tsate – Alto and Soprano Saxophone
- Michaias Berlouis – Trombone
- Callum Davis – Tuba
Their new production premiered at the Nottingham Chamber Music Festival in July 2024 before touring to schools in Mansfield and Nottingham.
The 2023 MishMash Ensemble included:

- Tim Keasley, Oboe and Cor Anglais
- Benjamin Garalnick, French Horn
- Daria Philips, Bassoon
- Poppy Beddoe, Clarinet
Following their premiere at the Nottingham Chamber Music Festival in July 2023 and a tour to schools in Nottingham and Mansfield the ensemble went on to take the performance to the 2023 international YAMSession in Tatui, Brazil before remounting the show as ‘Toot!’ which is now touring across the UK.
